In this videorace we present the climb to Risoul, of arrival of the 14th stage of the Tour the France 2014 won by Rafal Majka.
Then will climb the Col de Vars from the Guillestre side.
The race begin from Guillestre. where We ride the miles that lead to the start of the climb to Risoul; 13 km with an average slope of 6.8% and max of 9%.
The road winds its surrounded by coniferous forest.
The vegetation, however, allows for long stretches, to contemplate magnificent views of the alpine mountains.
Once at the ski resort of Risoul, we pass through the center, before returning to Guillestre.
A few hundred meters we begin to climb the Col de Vars, 19 km with a max slope 10.3% (6% avg).
Then there is a slight descent to the village of Vars St Marcellin, and than again another climb to Les Claux.
After the top we ride a steep descent to St. Paul, the last few easy km in the valley of Ubaye.

The 'Risoul' and and the 'Col de la Bonnete' form an epic ride through the beautiful french Alps. The Landscape is simply stunning an the climbs add up to almost 3700 m altitude. Unforgettable views, especially your legs will remember this ride a long time.
The elevation gain is split up to two clims the second of which itself is split up into two sections. So, the climbs are tough, but manageable. That's slightly different with the Col de la Bonette...
