The history of the Maratona dles Dolomites, the cycling marathon on mountain passes brings us back to 1987, when 166 cycling participated in the first edition of the Maratona on the Dolomite passes.
The beautiful setting of the Dolomites, the routes which include the legendary roads where great champions have written a rich and glorious page in the history of international cycling are certainly behind the great success of the Maratona dles Dolomites.
The Maratona Dles Dolomites is characterized by climbing the famous Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella, Passo Gardena, Passo Giau, Falzarego, Passo Valparola through the famous Corvara, Arabba, San Cassiano and La Villa a tourist resorts of the Dolomites, and finally approaching Cortina d' Ampezzo.
