Wonderful video race made in the Cadore, that offers the unpublished Passo del Pura, climb that will be propose in the decisive twentieth stage of the Giro d'Italia 2014 that will end on Monte Zoncolan.
We start in Calalzo di Cadore along the lake. We start to climb towards Lorenzago di Cadore. known for the sunny places and the tranquility of woods. Lorenzago is a popular holiday resort and has been repeatedly chosen by Pope Giovanni Paolo II for his summer holidays. We continue to Passo Mauria, with over 600 meters of ascent with an average slope of 5% (8% max). Than we go down to Forni di Sopra, through the valley of the Tagliamento. After that we begin the climb to Passo del Pura, a rise of almost 8 kilometers with an average slope of 8,5% (11% max). The weather is beautiful, without traffic. Once in Passo del Pura we start the descent through the Ampezzo forest. At the end we arrive on the lake Sauris where we conclude our effort. Our video race Sauris allows you to continue in the path of the twentieth stage of the Giro d'Italia 2014 with unpublished climbs.

'Passo Mauria', 'Sauris - The Heart of Carnia' and 'Montasio' are another two day-ride (at least for me). In order to spread the distance more evently, I split 'Sauris' at km 40. So 'Mauria' and 'Sauris I' are day one, and the rest I ride on day two.
Nevertheless, two very challenging days in a gorgeous district of Italy. 'Passo Mauria' covers two intermediate climbs and ends with a very scenic ride through some tunnels and over a river dam, where 'Sauris' continues the ride.
