Passo Giovo - Jaufenpass da Vipiteno

The climb to Jaufenpass, from this side, it is the third climb that meet the participants in the Oetztaler Radmarathon. It starts from Vipiteno / Sterzing and ride without difficulty the valley floor up to Gasteig. Then we start to climb into the thick woods with severe slopes and some hairpin bends that become numerous since Kalch. Now we cross a long stretch of coast out of the woods in the middle of vast grasslands. With steep hairpin bends we pass the refuge of Giovo and with the last two bends we finally reach the pass. From here a long and spectacular descent leads us to San Leonardo and then to San Martino in Passiria where we conclude the race.
